A MESSAGE FROM CYRISE...
How fortunate I have been to grow up in a family of musicians and artists. For as long as I can remember, Beatty family gatherings have been full of music, poetry, dance, and improvisation. I was encouraged to explore and express myself musically and lyrically. Music of many genres played in our home continually and I quickly fell in love with singing and writing my own songs. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a musician.
Years later I find myself blessed to teach, perform, write, direct and record music in my daily life. Whether writing songs with my fiancee and musical partner Stefan Schachter, composing my own pieces on piano, leading song, prayer, and chant for The Havurah Shir Hadash in Ashland, Oregon, or singing with the lovely women of Rusalka, my cup overflows with music. I also love to teach music and help people connect to their authentic voice so that they may offer it to the world. I have been blessed to direct many choirs and on January 5, 2010 l began my post as Artistic Director/Conductor of the Rogue World Ensemble in Ashland Oregon. I teach private music lessons as well and I am so proud of my students and grateful for all the amazing music they bring to my life.
